We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to provide senior business analysis expertise across Digital Delivery.
This is a key role supporting effective project, product and programme delivery by applying structured analysis practice, standards and assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will use best-practice analysis techniques to define business problems, opportunities, outcomes and success measures.
You will support end‑to‑end requirements management and work closely with stakeholders to ensure analysis outputs enable effective delivery, informed decision‑making and successful business change.
Duties include: Senior Business Analysis Practice
- Contribute to the development of Business Analysis as a recognised discipline across the organisation, sharing expertise and supporting Product Owners and wider team members to build capability and professional standards.
- Apply and support the consistent use of business analysis techniques, frameworks, quality criteria and governance across projects, products and programmes.
- Provide expert guidance on analysis approach, scope definition, requirements management and stakeholder engagement for complex change initiatives.
Requirements, Scope and Process Analysis
- Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation and validation of business, user, functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Define business problems, opportunities, objectives, success measures and scope in collaboration with business and delivery stakeholders.
- Produce and assure process maps, business models, user journeys, options analysis and impact assessments.
- Embed effective end‑to‑end requirements management, ensuring requirements are clear, traceable, prioritised, controlled and aligned to business outcomes, delivery plans and solution design.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with Project Managers, Product Owners, delivery teams, operational teams and suppliers to understand needs and manage expectations.
- Plan and facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions that draw out clear requirements, constraints, assumptions and priorities.
- Influence and challenge constructively to ensure analysis outputs remain focused on business value, customer outcomes and strategic alignment.
- Delivery Support and Assurance
- Support Programme Managers, Project Managers and Product Owners by ensuring analysis activity is planned, prioritised and aligned to delivery milestones.
- Assure the quality of analysis deliverables, requirements packs, acceptance criteria, business cases and change documentation.
- Work with test, technical and operational teams to ensure requirements support design, build, testing, implementation and transition to business as usual.
- Continuous Improvement and Best Practice
- Establish and maintain a Business Analysis Community of Practice to share knowledge, improve consistency and embed best practice.
- Drive Business Analysis maturity: implementing tools, techniques and templates that support best practice.
- Review and improve analysis tools, templates, methods and governance based on lessons learned, stakeholder feedback and delivery performance.
- Champion the adoption of Agile delivery methodologies and ways of working across the team, embedding practices such as sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced Business Analyst with a strong track record of delivering change within complex digital environments.
You will be comfortable bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous problems, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and producing high‑quality analysis outputs that enable teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
Experience working within Agile, Waterfall and/or hybrid delivery environments is essential, along with the ability to adapt analysis approaches to meet differing delivery needs.
A recognised Business Analysis qualification, such as PMI‑PBA, BCS, IIBA CBAP/CCBA, or an equivalent certification, would be desirable but is not essential.

This is a Full‑Time, permanent position working 35 hours per week based at our Head Office (Fred Olsen House, 42 White House Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 5LL) offering a hybrid work pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
