Frazer‑Nash provides aviation certification and safety assurance services to the UK Military Defence sector. We are looking for an experienced certification senior engineer or consultant to support the development and delivery of this service. The role involves engineering expertise across fixed‑wing, rotary‑wing, crewed and uncrewed air systems, supporting clients in providing airworthy, safe and sustainable military capability through systems engineering and technical services across the MoD and other domains.
Essential Requirements- Sound engineering experience across multiple disciplines
- Lead on technical delivery within programmes under the guidance of a more senior consultant
- Practitioner in initial or continuing airworthiness
- 5+ years’ experience leading engineering teams as a senior NCO, engineering officer or civilian equivalent
- Chartered Engineer (RAeS, IMechE or IET) or working towards it
- Demonstrable technical experience in a systems engineering environment within the aerospace industry, including:
- Safety work within a Platform Delivery Team or similar
- Certification requirements and compliance; working with EASA CS or Military MAC‑P/Def Stan 00–970 Certification Specifications
- Requirements management

- Strong customer‑focused attitude
- Understanding of the different air safety aspects of an air systems life cycle
- First degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience working within a Delivery Team or Defence Equipment & Support
- Frontline engineering experience on a Squadron or similar
- Lead auditor experience
- Previous or current experience as an engineering consultant
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must undergo pre‑employment screening and be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
