Senior Nuclear Safety Case Professional
Location: Bristol / South‑West is preferable but we would consider any office for the right candidate.
Salary range: £70,000 to £100,000 per annum.
Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid working – time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

Role
We are seeking a senior nuclear safety case professional to play a leading role in supporting existing and new nuclear projects across the UK. The role entails leading project work, supervising staff, managing projects, developing client relationships and winning new work, while coaching junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safety assessment, risk assessment – hazard identification, fault schedules, design‑basis analysis, probabilistic analysis and safety functional requirements.
- Qualification/substantiation of systems against safety requirements.
- Conduct internal and external hazards assessments.
- Develop and support safety cases for nuclear and non‑nuclear plant.
- Author, review and verify safety‑related documents.
- Supervise and coach junior staff.
- Manage projects and client relationships.
Qualifications
- Degree, MSc or PhD in a relevant STEM subject.
- Strong experience and understanding of the UK regulatory regime for safety cases and safety management.
- Deep knowledge of nuclear safety case requirements, processes, terminology and documentation.
- Experience with safety analysis and justification methods used in the nuclear industry.
- Ability to satisfy UK National Security Vetting clearance criteria.
Desirable Experience
- Working for multiple site‑licencee companies.
- Experience with both reactor and non‑reactor plant.
- Technical oversight, leadership and independent review.
- Project management and commercial aspects of nuclear projects.
