Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‑Nash, with time split between the office, university, client sites and working from home.

To support the development of our Cyber Security capability, we are looking to recruit a Cyber Security Apprentice to join our technical team. Our Cyber Security capability is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of experts across a broad range of Cyber and Information Security disciplines ranging from Digital Networking, Digital Engineering and Information Assurance and Threat Intelligence. We work on a range of interesting projects across multiple sectors including, but not limited to, energy, defence, space, government, national infrastructure, transport, process and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivery of technical security work programmes as part of multidisciplinary projects undertaken by our teams.
  • Work alongside highly knowledgeable and skilled peers to deliver solutions against our client's needs and requirements.
  • Engage in a variety of projects, including internal exercises to gain a comprehensive understanding of Frazer‑Nash and opportunities to work on client projects.
  • Support the Technical Lead or Project Managers in operating and delivering client solutions.
  • Research into a range of cyber related topics directly for our clients, and help expand the capability offering that we provide to our clients as the organisation evolves over the coming years.

  • Intelligent and inquisitive, able to solve complex cyber and digital related problems and deliver robust solutions for our clients.
  • Interest in furthering your education and starting a career in a cyber related role.

Things you can expect:

  • To be provided with an internal mentor, who will be with you for assistance day-to-day during your education.
  • Working alongside experienced colleagues who will ensure you are included in project work and will be able to assist answering questions or provide guidance as necessary.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team, working on solutions to fulfil client needs.
  • Work towards a BSc (Honours) Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions with the Cyber Pathway.
  • Enrolling at a college/university to support your degree pathway. This will depend on location and providers are limited to: University of Exeter, Solent University, University Centre Weston, Manchester Met University.
  • To gain experience working across a range of sectors and cyber security disciplines, such as Digital Engineering (including AI), Information Assurance, Threat Research and Digital Networks.

A Well-structured Curriculum Which Will Cover Areas Such As:

  • Cyber security principles and practices
  • Network and systems security
  • Digital forensics and incident response
  • Secure software and cloud technologies
  • Governance, compliance, and legislation

Security Screening: Due to the nature of the work that Frazer‑Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.

What You Need:

  • Typically 112 UCAS Tariff points in a relevant subject, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Ages 16–18: GCSE Maths and English at grade C / grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Ages 19+: Maths and English qualifications are not required, unless specified by the employer.
