We are looking for a nuclear security candidate to join our Protective Security team that has an in‑depth understanding of nuclear threats and risks aligned with national threat assessments to lead on delivering client projects where physical, personnel, and technical controls converge — designed to protect sites, information, and people from harm.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- To lead on the delivery of nuclear protective security projects.
- To contribute toward the growth of the nuclear security capability and the protective security team.
- To deliver other protective security work to an agreed scope, cost and quality.
- To act as a project manager for security related projects.
- To support the sales and business development axis to identify relevant opportunities, and to win new work.
- To represent Frazer‑Nash Consultancy at meetings with customers and partners.
- To lead on writing nuclear security bids, with others, to win identified opportunities.
- To deliver all work in accordance with company quality and other standards.
Experience Required:
We are looking for nuclear security professionals with at least 5 years’ experience delivering nuclear security solutions, and with a relevant security management qualification. Experience in a combination of the following areas is desirable:
- Application of Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) Security Assessment Principles (SyAPs).
- General Design Assessment.
- Vital Area Identification.
- Managing risk associated with Unacceptable Radiological Consequences.
- Security engineering.
- Threat assessment.
- Security risk assessment and management.
- Site security surveys.
- Applying industry and National Authority standards and good practice.
- Developing security requirements and applying a ‘secure by design’ approach.
- Conducting vulnerability assessment.
- Writing security strategy, policy, standards, and site security plans.
- Delivering security solutions within a highly regulated industry, to meet regulatory expectations and legal requirements.
In Addition, Experience In The Following Areas Is Desirable:
- Foundation knowledge of cyber and information security principles.
- Working with cyber professionals on blended or hybrid security solutions which include both physical and logical controls.
Due to the nature of the work that Frazer‑Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre‑employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
