We are looking for Nuclear Engineers with experience of delivering Engineering projects within the nuclear sector. If you join us, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in the UK nuclear sector to deliver projects supporting the current operational fleet, new build projects, and safe decommissioning of legacy plants.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Develop and deliver strategies to overcome a range of complex nuclear challenges.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation to meet the demands of our clients.
- Apply your knowledge and experience across a range of nuclear technologies.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to colleagues and clients.
- Manage projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
- Seek out new business opportunities and generate proposals and bids.
- Establish and develop enduring client relationships.
Examples of work being carried out by the team currently include:
- Developing the safety case for Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC).
- Designing containment systems for a UK Small Modular Reactor.
- Studying novel technologies for the disposal of Intermediate Level Solvent Waste for nuclear decommissioning clients.
- Providing maintenance outage engineering support to Advanced Gas Reactors.
- Authoring safety cases for the installation of new safety systems on operational reactors.
- Developing R&D plans for novel technologies for developing nuclear applications.
- Project engineering support to front-end engineering design of projects for Sizewell B.

Requirements:
- A degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
- Relevant background in the nuclear industry or similarly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to nuclear power.
- Experience of design, delivery, commissioning, or resolution of technical issues for systems on large engineering plants.
- Ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to nuclear systems and components.
- Good awareness of the nuclear sector and operators.
Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertakes, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
