Frazer-Nash Consultancy is one of the established Defence, Engineering, and Technology Consultancies in the UK, and we are pleased to be recruiting a new Market Group Manager covering our business activities in the UK’s Defence Nuclear Enterprise — a critical role in advancing our business.

As a Market Group Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role and be accountable for the Company’s business development and sales strategy implementation to support the UK’s Nuclear Deterrent and associated delivery systems. You will be responsible for leading an existing team that represents your market area, with responsibility for developing a profitable portfolio of work, and act as a focal point for our client.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee business development efforts across key defence, engineering, and technology sectors, aligning with strategic objectives
- Build and manage long-term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and first point of contact.
- Accountable for identifying, and mitigating commercial risks
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, performance, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
- Line Manager for a group of Business Managers on a day to day basis, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring
Essential Experience
- Skillful in enhancing business development and boosting sales, ideally in the UK\’s Defence Nuclear Enterprise, but applicable to wider defence, engineering, or technology sectors
- Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value
- Skillful communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Organised professional with a strategic mindset and a results-driven attitude.
- Desirable Experience:
- Background in consulting would be advantageous.
- Existing network within defence primes, government agencies, or related industries
- Experience with framework agreements and public sector bids
- Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
