Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‑Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

Due to our growth, we are seeking 2 experienced Senior Defence Leaders with either Maritime or Aerospace experience to join our team as a Principal Consultant and to drive delivery of complex, high‑value programmes for our strategic defence clients. This is a rare opportunity to join Frazer‑Nash at a critical time in the evolving defence landscape, combining innovation and operational delivery.
The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in building stakeholder confidence at the highest levels, delivering critical capability, and leading effective teams in changing and complex environments.
This Role Will Include:
- Support of business development activities in conjunction with Business Managers
- Responsible for developing services and a market presence that supports the company’s strategy
- Responsible for managing bids, including directing work on bids undertaken by technical staff at all levels within bid/project teams
- Management of large and/or complex projects across your defence domain sector
- Providing engineering knowledge and leadership across the team, including defining engineering strategies for live projects and identified opportunities, and providing support to junior engineers
Essential Experience:
- You are a visionary and delivery‑focused individual with extensive experience and sector knowledge across defence aerospace or maritime, effective stakeholder engagement skills, including influence at executive level.
- Air programmes and environments such as GCAP, Typhoon, P‑8
- Uncrewed air systems (UAS) and advanced autonomous technologies
- Submarine programmes such as Dreadnought or SSNA
- Exposure to ship/air integration or maritime aviation operations
- Background in high‑pressure operational delivery environments
- Working with major UK defence OEMs
- Experience shaping defence policy, strategy, or capability planning
