Location: Any FNC Office in the UK

Working pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‐Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

To support this, our Techno‐Economic Assessment team is expanding.

Due to continued success and growth of our consultancy services, we are looking for experienced consultants to join our growing Techno‐Economic Assessment team. We have a role for a Consultant grade, who is someone with a few years' experience in consultancy or who has been embedded in an organisation with the skills we are looking for. We prefer full‐time but can offer flexible working arrangements to suit both your needs and ours. You will be based in one of our UK offices, but the role will be hybrid, with your working time split between the office, your home, and our client's site, as our workload requires. We provide support to enable home working as necessary.

The Role

  • As a Consultant, you will help clients navigate the evolving UK energy landscape by delivering robust, insightful assessments of new technologies, business models and system changes.
  • Conduct techno‐economic feasibility studies for low‐carbon technologies.
  • Evaluate energy system impacts, market evolution and regulatory change.
  • Develop evidence‐based insights to support investment cases and strategic decisions.
  • Engage with regulators, operators, innovators and government stakeholders.
  • Work on high‐impact, complex engineering and policy challenges.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver high‐quality techno‐economic analyses, models and reports.
  • Prepare clear, compelling written outputs and structured presentations.
  • Communicate findings confidently with clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to bid development, proposal writing and client engagement.
  • Use Python, Excel and data‐science tools to analyse and visualise data.
  • Collaborate across multi‐disciplinary teams.

About you

  • 5 years' experience in the UK energy industry.
  • Understanding of GB energy markets and broader landscape.
  • STEM or energy economics degree.
  • Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong interest in net zero and innovation.

Desirable:

  • Energy system modelling experience (power system, whole‐system, optimisation).
  • Experience in innovation trials, demonstrators or applied R&D.
  • Proposal/bid writing experience.
  • Client‐facing experience in: Health, Energy, Sustainability, Transport & infrastructure, Advanced manufacturing, Defence.
