As a result of Frazer-Nash’s impressive growth over the past five years, our procurement team is expanding to meet increasing demands. Operating within the finance group, procurement also works closely with both legal and business assurance teams, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment. We are delighted to welcome a new Procurement Specialist to join our friendly team.
The primary focus of this role involves procuring subcontracted consultancy services, which directly support the consultancy solutions we provide to clients in high-risk sectors such as defence, nuclear, rail, and systems technology. We are a small team and therefore the position offers a diverse range of responsibilities, providing good opportunity to lead projects, processes, or supply chain frameworks on behalf of clients.
Candidates with relevant experience in high-risk sectors and a clear commitment to quality processes will be favoured. Additionally, we are particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate experience in ESG and sustainable procurement practices. Occasionally, the role may involve assisting with the procurement of indirect goods and services within our category management structure, covering areas not directly passed on to clients. Therefore, a solid understanding of category management—especially within professional services, consultancy, and IT—is preferred.
It’s important to note that this position is part of our internal procurement team. While some client interaction may occur, the role does not involve acting as a procurement consultant embedded within client organizations. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to contribute meaningfully in an expanding business, while expanding their professional experience across a variety of procurement activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be expected to:
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working effectively across various departments and with external suppliers.
- They may be tasked with managing and coordinating projects, such as improving supplier due diligence, developing sustainable procurement policies, or handling IT procurement initiatives.
- Additionally, they may contribute written content for consultancy bids submitted to clients, so clear literacy skills are essential.
Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.

The qualified applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:
- Significant procurement experience (procurement focused rather than supplier relationship management focused)
