Location: Leatherhead, Bristol or Glasgow is preferable; any Frazer‑Nash office considered for the right candidate.
Working Pattern: The Legal Team primarily works remotely with one office day per week, subject to business needs. We operate a flexible hybrid pattern with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

Role: We have a rewarding opportunity for an experienced solicitor to join our busy Legal Team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Legal and provide legal advice and support to the business at all levels and across a broad range of sectors. The Legal Team’s objective is to be a trusted advisor to the business. We are looking for a professional who values teamwork and can offer strong legal advice in a pragmatic and timely way, taking into account commercial considerations of Frazer‑Nash (a KBR company).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the business at all levels across a broad range of sectors.
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including supply terms, framework agreements, MoUs, joint venture agreements and subcontracts.
- Prepare precedent documents and support internal projects.
- Offer advisory work and support the preparation of legal documentation for internal projects.
- Provide training and guidance to team members and the business on relevant legal developments.
- Support the training and development of junior team members.
Essential Requirements:
- A qualified solicitor with at least 5 years PQE either in private practice or in‑house.
- Experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including supply terms, framework agreements, memorandums of understanding, joint venture agreements and subcontracts.
- Ability to provide training and guidance to team members and the business on relevant legal developments.
- Very good written and oral communication and the ability to easily interact with project teams, senior management and external parties.
- Good ability to work to challenging timeframes and under pressure, handle effectively.
- Ability to work well independently, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to participate in a collaborative team environment.
- Experienced in supporting the training and development of junior team members.
Beneficial Requirements:
- Skilled in providing advice on intellectual property issues, including strategic legal guidance on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property, patent applications and a working knowledge of the MOD IP DEFCONs.
- Experience of advising on contracts within the energy and/or defence sector.
- Experience of advising on Government Framework Agreements, NEC contracts and MOD DEFCONs.
- Experience of advising on IR35/Off‑Payroll Working rules.
- Experience of advising on software development agreements.
- Experience of advising on the legal aspects of developing and supplying products.
