Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location: Glasgow, Bristol, Burton on Trent, Gloucester, Leatherhead, Manchester, Plymouth (flexible hybrid working, with time split between the office and working from home).

Responsibilities:
- You will conduct strength, fatigue (low‑cycle and high‑cycle), creep and defect tolerance assessments of safety‑critical parts using Finite‑Element Analysis (FEA).
- You will support clients in the design, operational troubleshooting, and life‑extension of nuclear assets.
- You will also deliver and lead projects across Frazer‑Nash's portfolio, engage with customers, and collaborate with the consultancy team.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical/structural engineering.
- Experience with FEA tools such as Abaqus, Ansys or LS‑Dyna.
- Experience with failure mechanisms: strength, fatigue (low‑cycle and high‑cycle), creep and fracture.
- Familiarity with codes and standards such as ASME III, ASME VIII, API579, BS7608, BS7910, R5/R6.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to make structured decisions, solve problems, and take initiative.
- Capacity to work across the business with clients and support team members.
- Pre‑employment screening and UK National Security Vetting clearance.

- Experience in a technical consultancy environment.
- Experience in business development, client relationship building and project management.
