Salary range: £90,000 to £110,000 per annum + Comprehensive benefits
Location: Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Burton or Leatherhead are preferable but would consider any office for the right candidate.
Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

Frazer-Nash Consultancy is a leading Engineering and Technology Consultancy, and we are pleased to be recruiting a new Market Group Manager covering our business activities in non-nuclear Energy and Resources sectors — a critical role in advancing our business.

As a Market Group Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role and be accountable for the Company’s business development and sales strategy implementation. You will lead all our non-nuclear related energy and resources sectors with clients in utilities, OEMs, developers and regulators. You will be responsible for leading an existing team of Business Development Managers that represents your market group, with responsibility for developing a profitable portfolio of work, and acting as a focal point for our clients and internally.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee business development efforts across our non-nuclear energy and resources portfolio, including renewable and conventional power generation, transmission and distribution sectors, to align with our strategic objectives.
- Build and manage long‑term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and a key point of contact for clients.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Accountable for identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of the pipeline, revenue and profitability, performance and market intelligence to senior leadership.
- Lead and develop a group of Business Development Managers on a day‑to‑day basis, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring.
What Skills And Experience You Will Bring
- Skilful in enhancing business development and increasing sales, ideally in one or more of the renewables, conventional power or power transmission and distribution sectors in an engineering, technology or consultancy environment.
- Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value.
- Skilful communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Organized professional with a strategic mindset and a results‑driven attitude.
Desirable Experience
- Background in consulting would be advantageous.
- Existing network within energy and resources utilities, OEMs, developers and regulators or related industries.
- Experience with private sector procurement, including frameworks and research and innovation funding.
- Degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
