Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

The role of Financial Accountant will sit within the Finance team (one of two FA’s), reporting to the Financial Controller. This role will work within our team to deliver month end close, statutory compliance and working capital management. This role will also hold a commercial element with engagement with project teams, and wider business as we manage our P&L.
Duties And Responsibilities- Own the month‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely posting of journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions
- Prepare analysis and commentary for month end P&L results
- Maintain full ownership of the balance sheet, including preparation and review of reconciliations, and investigation and resolution of variances & aged items
- Support cash forecasting and pro-actively manage operating cash flow
- Prepare statutory accounts and support the year‑end audit process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Support quarterly Internal audit process
- Undertake quarterly project reviews
- Support preparation of all tax returns (corporation tax/VAT/PSA/P11D) and submission in conjunction with advisors
- Maintain and enhance process and control documentation
- Identify control weaknesses and propose improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Support FP&A tasks as and when required such as budgeting/forecasting.
- Support wider Finance team as and when required.
- Qualified Accountant with strong understanding of UK GAAP (FRS102) and IFRS principles
- Communication: Capable of presenting findings clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences, tailoring the level of detail as appropriate.
- Organisational Skills: Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities, particularly during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting cycles.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in investigating issues and recommending solutions.
- Beneficial to have - System: Experience of Dynamics 365/FCCS
