The Role As an Economics Graduate at Frazer-Nash Consultancy, you’ll join the Value Management & Techno-Economic Assessment (VM&TEA) team that solves some of the most complex engineering and technology challenges across sectors such as energy, defence, transport, and infrastructure. Our work influences critical decisions that shape the future of industries and society. In this role, you’ll contribute to projects that combine economic insight with technical expertise, helping clients make informed, data-driven decisions. You’ll be part of a collaborative, innovative environment where your ideas matter, and you’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and real-world applications. This role will help you become adept at applying economic principles to engineering and technology challenges. You’ll develop skills in cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and scenario modelling, while learning how to manage assumptions, issues, and dependencies in complex projects. Through hands-on experience, structured training, and mentorship from industry experts, you’ll build confidence in delivering economic insights that influence high-stakes decisions. You’ll also gain exposure to diverse sectors, giving you a broad and adaptable skill set.

We’re Looking For Someone Who We’re looking for a curious and motivated graduate who wants to make an impact. You should have a strong foundation in economics and an interest in applying your knowledge to technical and engineering contexts. You’ll need to bring enthusiasm for learning, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to take on new challenges in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

We expect you to show an interest in understanding the economic impact of real-world challenges and a willingness to apply structured thinking to complex problems.

This role requires constant stepping out of one\'s comfort zone, and leading a variety of projects by effectively controlling and embracing change.

A degree level qualification 2:1 or above in relevant disciplines such as economics, statistics or mathematics is also required.

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and will be required to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.

  2. Step 2: Measure Potential - Arctic Shores’ task-based assessment. You will be asked to complete some exciting, engaging tasks which will enable us to get to know you better! In return, you’ll receive a personalised feedback report.
  3. Step 3: Video Interview - Situation based & technical questions that are related to the important criteria needed to be successful on the role.
  4. Step 4: Explore day - This includes the opportunity to learn about what we do, network with current Graduates and find out about what a career at Frazer-Nash has to offer. You will be asked to complete an interview and presentation/task as part of the day.
  5. Step 5: Decision/Feedback - You will receive feedback even if we do not make the decision to offer you the job or progress you to the next stage.
