A rapidly scaling fintech, now at 220 employees after launching in the UK last year, is on track to reach 600 people within the next 12 months. To support this pace, the People team is expanding with a newly created People Partner role. This position sits between the Head of HR and the HR Coordinator (who will report into this role). It offers the chance to influence culture, build scalable people processes, and play a pivotal part in the company’s next phase of growth. We’re looking for someone who thrives in the grey, enjoys pace, and can operate fluidly across both operational and strategic priorities. This is far more than a generalist role - it’s an opportunity to build operational excellence from the ground up while partnering with senior stakeholders to influence and shape the direction of the business.

The Role

  • People partnering - provides day‑to‑day guidance to managers, supports leadership decision‑making, and ensures people practices align with business goals.
  • Employee relations management - leads ER cases from start to finish, offering balanced, commercially aware advice and ensuring consistent outcomes.
  • Performance & development support - contributes to performance cycles, coaches’ managers on feedback, and helps embed a culture of continuous development.
  • Onboarding & employee experience - enhances onboarding processes, drives engagement initiatives, and supports culture‑building across a fast‑moving organisation.
  • HR operations & compliance - oversees core HR processes, ensures data accuracy, supports policy creation, and helps maintain compliance as the company scales.
  • Team leadership - manages and develops the HR Coordinator, ensuring smooth operational delivery and fostering their growth.
  • Change & growth enablement - supports organisational changes, contributes to people‑related projects, and helps build scalable frameworks for a 600‑person future.

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of HR experience, ideally gained in fast‑paced scaling environment.
  • Must have demonstrable experience operating in a start-up, fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of driving both people operations and strategic business partnering.
  • Strong generalist grounding with confidence across ER, performance, coaching, and people operations.
  • Thrives in a high‑growth, ever‑evolving environment and enjoys building structure where needed.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to grow with the business.
