I am delighted to recruit a Workday Implementation Project Manager for an outstanding financial services organisation based in the heart of London. With ongoing expansion across multiple regions, the organisation is bringing its newly acquired teams onto a unified HRIS and payroll landscape. This role sits at the centre of that transition, shaping how people, processes, and systems come together during integration activity. This role will sit across all streams, IT, HRIS, Reward, M&A and payroll.

Core Responsibilities

  • Programme oversight: Direct several parallel workstreams covering HR technology, HR systems module configuration, HR reporting and analytics, payroll operations, and organisational change, ensuring each area progresses against agreed milestones.
  • Migration delivery: Build and run end‑to‑end plans that move employees from legacy environments into the central HCM platform and outsourced payroll model.
  • Cross‑team coordination: Work alongside acquisition, finance, reward, and operational teams to evaluate integration readiness and shape the overall approach.
  • Process mapping: Analyse existing HR and payroll workflows within acquired entities and translate them into a future‑state design aligned with the organisation’s standards.
  • Change and communication input: Support local HR teams by contributing to communication plans and cultural alignment efforts that help new colleagues adopt updated processes.
  • HCM deployment leadership: Lead the European rollout of the HCM system, ensuring configuration, testing, and deployment activities are delivered to specification. Oversee the shift to a new outsourced payroll provider, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Regulatory alignment: Partner with compliance teams to define mandatory requirements for system design and implementation.
  • Reporting preparation: Gather reporting needs with data and finance teams ahead of deal completion.
  • Training facilitation: Deliver technical training sessions to ensure HR teams understand system functionality and new processes.
  • Testing leadership: Coordinate testing cycles, support UAT participants, and validate end‑to‑end scenarios.
  • Technical translation: Present system and process information in a clear, accessible way for non‑technical audiences.

About You

  • 4+ years’ experience in a demanding, fast‑moving environment such as financial services, consulting, or another complex operational setting.
  • Strong project leadership, capable of managing multiple initiatives while maintaining clarity of direction and delivery.
  • Background in technology‑enabled operations, automation, or systems‑driven process improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement, comfortable influencing across all levels.
