Senior HR Business Partner We're looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to support a large-scale operational business across the South of the UK.

This is a highly visible role where you'll work directly with leaders and employees, influencing business decisions, driving engagement, and navigating complex people challenges.

This is not a role for someone who prefers to stay behind a desk.

You'll spend the majority of your in office days out in the business, building relationships, coaching managers, supporting organisational change, and ensuring people strategies deliver meaningful results.

This role suits a business partner who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, has strong employee relations expertise, and are comfortable operating in a unionised environment.

What You'll Be Doing As the senior HR lead for your business areas, you will: Partner with operational and senior leaders to drive people performance and business outcomes Manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit Lead complex employee and industrial relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and consultation processes Build and maintain effective relationships with recognised trade unions Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and succession planning Provide expert advice on TUPE transfers and people-related risks Coach and develop managers to confidently handle day-to-day people matters Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives Act as a trusted advisor, challenging and influencing stakeholders where appropriate Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across HR processes and practices What We're Looking For You'll be a confident and credible HR professional with experience in a business partnering role across a multi-sited businesses with union presence, ideally from transport, aviation, manufacturing or similar sectors.

Significant HR Business Partner experience within a unionised, operational environment Strong employee relations and industrial relations expertise Experience of collective bargaining and working with trade unions Sound knowledge of TUPE and organisational change processes A track record of managing complex HR casework from start to finish The ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels A proactive, visible leadership style and a passion for being close to the business CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience)This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely impactful HR leadership role where your expertise will shape culture, employee experience, and business performance.

You'll work alongside committed operational leaders, influence key decisions, and help create an engaged and high-performing workforce.

Location & Travel This is a hybrid role with regular travel across operational sites in South England and Wales.

You'll be expected to spend significant time on-site working directly with managers and employees.

Travel expenses are provided.

South Region | Hybrid & Field-Based – 3 days a week in office – North West London with travel to Wales x3/4 times a month
