Frazer Jones is delighted to be partnering exclusively with one of Europe’s leading food and beverage businesses, operating across multiple markets with a significant presence and ambitious growth plans. With a diverse European workforce and a culture that values collaboration, commercial focus and operational excellence, this is an organisation that is modernising at pace and investing heavily in its people strategy.
As part of this transformation, the Chief People Officer is looking to appoint a Head of Reward. This is a critical and highly visible leadership role, responsible for creating a cohesive, scalable and competitive reward framework across the whole company’s European footprint. It represents a rare opportunity to shape the entire reward agenda end‑to‑end, spanning compensation, benefits, job architecture, executive reward and equity programmes.
The scope of this role covers both compensation and benefits activities and requires someone to both run the day-to-day operational work as well as drive the reward strategy, with the support of one report. The role will suit a seasoned reward leader who thrives in fast‑moving, multi‑country environments and enjoys balancing commercial pragmatism with strong governance. The position will also consider Senior Reward Managers looking to cement themselves as a ‘Head of’.
Key responsibilities:- Leading a full pan‑European benchmarking programme covering all roles
- Designing and implementing a robust job architecture and levelling framework
- Establishing clear compensation governance, including salary ranges, pay bands and pay review principles
- Harmonising benefits across countries, ensuring competitiveness, value and cost discipline
- Owning the Annual Bonus / Management Incentive Plan (MIP), including scheme design, governance, calculations and communications
- Leading executive compensation governance, including benchmarking, modelling and incentive design
- Acting as the owner of the equity, overseeing grants, eligibility, governance and reporting
- Providing sophisticated cost modelling, scenario analysis and insights to support senior decision‑making
- Partnering closely with HR, Finance and operational leaders to embed consistent reward frameworks
- Serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across Europe, balancing pace, rigour and commercial judgment
This is a broad, strategically significant mandate that offers exceptional scope to influence and modernise reward across a diverse European organisation. The successful candidate must have navigated multi-country environments (ideally Europe), with preference of a background in private equity-backed businesses experiencing transformation. A proven track record of developing job architecture, delivering large‑scale benchmarking and leading compensation governance is essential, as is confidence operating with senior leaders and C‑suite stakeholders.
Skills and attributes:- You will be highly numerate, analytical and structured, with the ability to simplify complexity and present data‑led insights with clarity.
- A pragmatic, solutions‑focused style is key, alongside the resilience to navigate ambiguity and the credibility to influence senior leaders across different cultures and markets.
The role is based in London with hybrid working (1-3 days in office). This is an outstanding opportunity for a reward leader who wants to build, shape and elevate the reward function in a business with significant scale and ambition. If you enjoy making a difference, operating in the grey and delivering build projects, then this role is for you.
