I am delighted to be partnering with one of the largest global FMCG businesses to hire a Global Talent & Organisational Director. They are looking for a seasoned HR leader with global experience across talent development to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of talent and organisational strategy for a global business group. This is a highly strategic and influential position within a global business operating in a complex matrix structure. The role will shape the future of talent and organisational capability across a worldwide business group.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Global Talent Strategy: Design and deliver frameworks to build skills and capabilities aligned with business priorities.
  • Leadership Development: Partner with senior leaders to identify and develop top talent for critical roles.
  • Organisation Design & Capability Building: Ensure structures and skills are fit for purpose, driving transformation and growth.
  • Strategic Influence: Act as a connector between global design and business group needs (approx. 50/50 split).
  • Innovation & Agility: Move beyond traditional L&D to integrated talent solutions, leveraging data and design thinking.
  • Hands-On Design: No direct reports initially—requires ability to build and execute personally while influencing at scale.

Experience required:

  • It is essential that you have 8–10+ years in talent management with global experience in large, matrixed organisations (likely in a Centre of Excellence or global group role).
  • Expertise in talent mapping, succession planning, and capability assessment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, strategic mindset, and ability to work across cultures.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, agile methodologies, and digital HR tools.
  • Consulting background is welcome; however, this must include experience with global clients of similar complexity and business size.
