12-month fixed-term contract | London - Hybrid working

My client is a smart energy business at the heart of national transformation. They are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Manager to help shape how people grow, perform and thrive. This is a hands-on role for someone who believes learning should be practical, visible, and embedded into everyday work - not hidden behind systems and tick-boxes.

The opportunity: You'll join at a pivotal moment, supporting a business with a critical role in the UK's future. Over the next year, you'll design and deliver learning that builds real capability, confidence and performance - from onboarding new colleagues to strengthening leadership effectiveness and compliance. Your work will help create a strong learning culture where development feels relevant, accessible and genuinely valued.

What you'll be doing: This role blends strategy with delivery. You'll:

  • Design and deliver targeted learning that supports organisational priorities
  • Embed learning into day-to-day performance, working closely with managers and teams
  • Support onboarding and induction so new colleagues feel confident, connected and effective quickly
  • Work with senior leaders on team capability mapping and improving management and leadership skills
  • Track learning completion and impact, using data and feedback to continuously improve the learner experience
  • Make learning visible and easy to navigate, communicating opportunities clearly across the business
  • Contribute to workforce capability, engagement, governance and compliance requirements

You'll partner across functions, balancing multiple priorities while keeping people - not processes - at the centre of your approach. You will be comfortable with hands-on delivery and inputting into strategic learning principles and plans.

What you'll bring: You will be an experienced learning and development professional that has the ability to deliver impact and really embed learning across a similar headcount of approximately 600 employees. Ideally, you will have experience across the energy, tech or telecoms sectors. You will be able to:

  • Think creatively about how learning can solve real business problems
  • Take ownership, balancing competing demands while maintaining high quality
  • Be comfortable using data and insight to improve learning and experience
  • Understand the importance of governance, compliance and stakeholder needs
  • Communicate clearly, tailoring messages for different audiences
  • Champion learning, reflection and development in practical, human ways

Naturally engaging, curious and passionate about continuous development, you will join the team at an exciting time and have the opportunity to showcase your experience and collaborate with a great team!

Location: This role can be London or Manchester based as the HR team are split across both locations. Hybrid working model: 2 days in office

Salary: £65k - £70k + 10% car allowance + 20% bonus
