Job Description
Learning & Development Advisor
Full Time – Hybrid (London)
Salary – c. £55k
Frazer Jones are working on an exciting role to join an innovative Learning & Development team within a law firm, where the successful applicant will design and facilitate learning programs on a variety of topics offered to attorneys and staff. The L&D Advisor collaborates with instructional designers, subject matter experts, stakeholders and project teams to create, design, and develop job aides, quick reference cards, guides and other resources used when facilitating instructor-led programs and blended learning curricula.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with various stakeholders to understand their business objectives and align training efforts.
- Partner with regional human resource professionals, business directors or operational department heads to conduct performance and needs analysis to recommend and implement appropriate learning interventions to address skill gaps and provide feedback to management.
- Serve as the training lead where project management skills will be required to coordinate efforts and resources within the Learning and Development team as part of a larger project team.
- Work with instructional designers to ensure firm-branded templates are used and that deliverables are reviewed for quality assurance prior to implementation.
- Design and develop world-class engaging programs and curricula; define objectives, outline course content and exercises, develop content, assessments and supporting materials for learning efforts.
- Team up with software rollout teams by participating in pilot orientation sessions, conducting testing and reporting results, soliciting feedback from pilot users, and compiling statistics of overall pilot results.
- Facilitate learning programs for attorneys and staff on the firm’s core applications. Training delivery formats include live classroom, virtual training, and one-on-one instruction.
- Effectively use the firm’s virtual platforms to ensure the learning environment is engaging; working in conjunction with other members of the learning team as needed to keep up with the new features of the virtual platforms.
- Generate class rosters, reports, and updates attendance in the Learning Management System.
- Provide metrics on learning programs as requested.
- Stay up to date with industry and field current trends.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Skills/Requirements:
- Proven proficiency in designing and facilitating training programs in classroom and virtual environments.
- Must be proficient in the application of instructional design, curriculum design, and adult-learning principles.
- Ability to establish credibility with client base as a valuable resource and consultant in technical training and applications.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in the English language
- A self-starter who takes ownership of assigned projects and shows commitment to the job; ability to work independently.
- Strong project management skills.
