Our client, a fast-growing and highly regarded consulting firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Lead Trainer to join their Talent and Development function. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic learning professional who is passionate about capability building, facilitation, and developing high-performing teams within complex business environments.

Working closely with consultants, programme leaders, and senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering impactful learning interventions that support both individual and organisational performance.

The Opportunity

As Lead Trainer, you will lead the delivery of engaging and high-quality development programmes across a range of business transformation and capability initiatives. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive, energetic, and practical learning environment, helping participants translate learning into real-world application. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of learning content, trainer capability, and programme effectiveness across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Delivery
    • Deliver engaging and impactful learning interventions across core programmes.
    • Translate complex and technical concepts into clear, practical, and accessible learning.
    • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for diverse audiences across multiple levels of seniority.
    • Create a high-energy learning environment aligned to the organisation's culture and values.
  • Coaching & Capability Building
    • Coach and support participants to embed learning into day-to-day practice.
    • Provide constructive and actionable feedback to support individual development.
    • Mentor and support other trainers through observation, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
    • Build both technical capability and high-performance behaviours within learning cohorts.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Champion excellence and consistency across all learning delivery.
    • Support trainer accreditation and capability development initiatives.
    • Use participant feedback and programme evaluation data to refine and improve delivery approaches.
    • Ensure learning interventions reflect best practice in adult learning and facilitation.
  • Learning Design & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work collaboratively with Talent and Development teams to enhance programme content and learning materials.
    • Provide insight from delivery experience to improve programme relevance and effectiveness.
    • Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders to understand evolving capability requirements.
    • Support programme owners to ensure smooth and effective end-to-end delivery.
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience delivering training and facilitation within a consulting, professional services, or corporate environment.
  • Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
