The predicted salary is between 65000 - 80000 Β£ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a large and complex business and to shape and deliver a strategic workforce management and people insight agenda during a period of change and transformation. Reporting to the HR Director and leading a team of specialists, you will drive workforce planning maturity, develop robust forecasting and scenario modelling capabilities, and provide data-led insight to support critical business decisions.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to translate and address complex workforce and organisational challenges into commercial recommendations, ensuring workforce planning aligns with the business strategy and financial objectives. There will also be a focus on understanding the impact of AI on future workforce needs and establishing these principles. This is an opportunity to build and evolve a scalable workforce planning framework, improve planning processes and technology, and help ensure future workforce capability aligns with long-term business strategy.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead strategic workforce planning across a complex organisation
  • Build forecasting, modelling and workforce analytics capability
  • Deliver insight-led recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Support workforce transformation, resource optimisation and future capability planning
  • Improve planning processes, governance, systems and reporting
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team
About you:
  • Strong strategic workforce planning experience within a large and complex organisation
  • Proven expertise in workforce analytics, forecasting and scenario modelling
  • Ability to translate data into compelling business insight and recommendations
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and leading through change
  • Experience improving planning capability, processes and technology
  • Strong people leadership skills

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded strategic workforce planning professional who enjoys operating across strategy, analytics and organisational transformation. The ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders will be key alongside your experience of workforce transformation and evolution of workforce management. You will have worked at a strategic level and have managed and led teams. Based in central Bristol, the company operates a hybrid working pattern with 3 days in the office.
