A global market leader in automotive technical services is seeking a Global Training & Assessment Senior Manager to design, implement and embed a new global framework for technician training and assessment. This role will transform how technicians learn, grow and deliver excellence, ensuring consistency and quality across all regions.
This is a high-impact global leadership role designed for someone who excels in building world-class training standards across diverse countries and cultures. You will shape the future of technician development by defining and embedding a unified global framework that improves safety, quality, confidence and capability across thousands of technicians worldwide.
What You'll Lead
- Development and implementation of a global Technician Training & Assessment framework.
- Partnership with multiple countries to support adoption, change management and continuous improvement.
- Evaluation of current training models, identifying gaps and driving standardisation of mandatory elements.
- Creation of a global measurement framework to track effectiveness, speed of training and impact on key KPIs such as safety, quality, engagement and operational performance.
- Championing digital learning tools, analytics and innovative training solutions.
- Identifying new technologies and approaches to enhance the technician learning journey.
Experience required
- Leadership experience in global training, technical operations or a multi-country technical environment.
- Strong grounding in adult learning principles, instructional design and assessment methodologies.
- Experience delivering large-scale training programmes and leading multicultural, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- A strategic mindset balanced with hands-on execution.
- Ideally experience in automotive, field operations or related technical industries; however, my client is open to broader sectors if you can evidence creating a training framework globally with tangible results and metrics.
Your work will directly enable a highly engaged global technician workforce of approximately 18,000 global employees focused on safety, delivering exceptional quality, and thriving in a culture of continuous learning. You'll create a framework that becomes the backbone of technician development globally, supporting both individual growth and company performance.
