My Glasgow based client is looking to appoint an experienced Head of HR to provide strategic & operational leadership of the HR function and shape a people strategy that supports business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to lead the full HR agenda, partner closely with senior management, and drive organisational capability, engagement and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing coaching & developing a high performing HR team, ensuring successful delivery across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the UK senior management team on people, organisational design and employment related issues.
  • Overseeing workforce planning, resourcing, talent management, succession planning and UK organisational design.
  • Managing employee relations including working with a recognised Trade Union and supporting collective consultation processes.
  • Leading on UK organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Overseeing UK reward, benefits and annual pay review processes.

Requirements:

  • Senior HR leadership experience within a complex/operational environment.
  • Experience managing HR teams and influencing senior leaders.
  • Strong UK employee relations background, ideally with Trade Union engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience leading organisational change, transformation and cultural initiatives.
  • Strong capability in workforce planning, talent management and succession.
  • Confidence working with reward, performance and engagement frameworks.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven generalist HR experience as a Head of HR, within a manufacturing/similar environment (and ideally unionised) alongside the ability to partner senior leaders. Competitive salary, car allowance.
