Frazer Jones are delighted to be supporting a highly respected, complex organisation as they embark on a major period of change. They are looking for an experienced ER & OD Specialist, someone who can bring strong expertise, strategic insight, and the ability to deliver at pace. This is a fantastic interim opportunity for a senior HR professional who is confident navigating organisational complexity and shaping meaningful, lasting transformation.
In this role, you will be at the centre of a large-scale cultural and organisational development programme. Working closely with senior HR and business leaders, you will redesign core HR and ER frameworks, strengthen leadership capability, and help shift the organisation towards a more modern, high-performing, and inclusive culture. The role is both strategic and hands-on—you will be required to deliver high-quality interventions while also influencing senior stakeholders and guiding the organisation through change.
A key focus will be the modernisation of the Employee Relations function. You will play a leading role in redesigning policies, processes, and frameworks to create a more consistent, future-proofed ER approach across the organisation. At the same time, you'll be expected to provide high-level support on complex cases, from senior-level grievances and disciplinary matters to sickness management and Employment Tribunals. Your knowledge of employment legislation and your ability to interpret risk will be essential in advising senior leaders and shaping best practice.
Transformation sits at the heart of this assignment. You'll bring together HR, legal teams, and trade union representatives to ensure alignment and buy-in, supporting the organisation as it restructures and realigns its operating model. Strong change management capability is crucial—you will help prepare the organisation for new ways of working, drive engagement, and ensure leaders are equipped to embed change effectively. Data and insight will also play a key role, as you use people analytics to identify risks, diagnose challenges, and demonstrate impact.
The organisation is seeking someone who has led substantial HR, OD, or ER transformation within large, complex, and often unionised environments. You will need to bring credibility, presence, and the ability to influence at the highest levels. Resilience, agility, and a steady hand in a fast-paced environment are essential, as is a strong working understanding of TUPE, M&A activity, restructuring, and modern ER practice. CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) is required, and additional project management qualifications such as Prince2 or MSP would be highly advantageous.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a short period of time. You'll be contributing directly to a strategic agenda that will shape the organisation's culture, ways of working, and people experience long after your assignment has finished.
