We are working with a growing professional services client in Birmingham. In line with their commitment to people and their development, they are looking for a Learning & Development Lead to support continued growth and capability across the business. This is a hands-on L&D role where you will be responsible for the learning activity within the Business while also shaping practical development initiatives that support business needs, with the support of the HR Director. You’ll design and deliver training, work closely with managers, helping to embed a strong learning culture across the organisation.
You will play a key role in ensuring learning programmes run smoothly and effectively and take ownership of impactful and effective learning interventions within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities include:- Delivering and maintaining an L&D plan aligned to business needs
- Designing and running engaging training sessions (technical, behavioural, leadership)
- Facilitating workshops, inductions and early careers programmes
- Partnering with managers to identify development needs
- Supporting leadership and career development pathways across the Business
- Overseeing graduate development, mentoring, and professional qualifications
- Identifying training needs and liaising with 3rd parties/external providers
- Managing learning systems (LMS), reporting, and programme logistics
- Evaluating training effectiveness and taking a continuous improvement approach
- Contributing to a positive learning culture through knowledge-sharing initiatives
Our client is looking for someone who enjoys delivery, working directly with people and building practical learning solutions. You will also have a forward-thinking approach and the vision to consider the mid-long-term evolution of the L&D plan.
Experience required:- Experience in L&D within a Professional Services or similar environment
- Strong facilitation and programme delivery skills
- Experience supporting development programmes and career pathways
- A professional and flexible style, able to engage with managers and senior stakeholders
- Experience with LMS or digital learning tools
- Exposure to technical or specialist learning environments
- Coaching and facilitation experience
