Frazer Jones is delighted to be retained by St Johns Foundation, in Bath to support them in their search for a Head of People. This new role suits a proactive, people-centred individual who is comfortable leading through change to support business objectives and a high-performance culture.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with the Executive Team to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across the organisation. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the right people are recruited, developed and empowered to thrive and perform.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Leadership & Strategy
    • Lead the development and delivery of HR strategy, people plans and organisation-wide development.
    • Provide expert HR leadership to the CEO, Executive Team and managers.
    • Champion a collaborative, inclusive culture and drive change aligned with organisational goals.
    • Act as a visible leader, promoting continuous improvement across People & Culture.
  • HR Operations
    • Oversee all HR operations including policy updates, HR systems, recruitment, workforce planning and L&D.
    • Manage employee relations, reward, performance, and succession planning.
    • Ensure accurate reporting of people metrics, effective payroll and pension administration, and sound HR budget control.
    • Maintain compliance and embed best practice in employment law, risk and governance.
    • Coach managers to strengthen people leadership capability.
What you will need:
  • Broad generalist HR experience, including complex ER, organisational development, reward and HR systems.
  • Proven ability to build high-performance cultures and lead change programmes.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
  • Values-led, resilient and able to inspire teams through change.
  • Experience in complex environments or the charity sector is an advantage.
