Our client, a leading international Law Firm is seeking a Senior Associate/Legal Director to join its Construction & Engineering Team in Scotland. The team advises on a diverse range of non-contentious construction matters, including large-scale developments, infrastructure and energy projects, and urban regeneration.
The successful candidate will ideally have 7+ years’ PQE and will get the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the Scottish practice, collaborating with colleagues across the UK and internationally to support a broad client base that includes developers, public sector bodies, and institutional investors.
This is a client facing, fast paced role, and main duties will include:
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, appointments, guarantees, warranties, and related documents alongside clients and their consultants.
- Advising on procurement strategies and the use of standard and bespoke construction contracts, including NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and IChemE.
- Writing articles and speaking at internal and external seminars.
- Supporting business development activities to grow the practice in Scotland.
