An established UK law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its Glasgow-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer looking to work with a broad and high-quality client base, including high-net-worth individuals and families, delivering tailored legal solutions across a range of private client matters.
Working as part of a large and collaborative team, the successful candidate will manage a varied caseload and play a key role in providing strategic, tax-efficient advice.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise clients on inheritance tax and estate planning, including agricultural and business property reliefs
- Draft complex Wills and trust structures tailored to individual client needs
- Manage executry and trust administration, including high-value and taxable estates
- Provide detailed, proactive advice on tax planning and wealth preservation
- Handle matters relating to powers of attorney and adults with incapacity
- Work closely with colleagues and external advisors to deliver a seamless client service
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 yearsβ post-qualification experience in private client work. They will demonstrate strong technical expertise across wills, trusts and estate administration, alongside a solid understanding of the taxation of trusts. A high level of attention to detail is essential, particularly in the drafting and review of legal documents. The role requires a commercially aware individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who is comfortable collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver a high-quality client service. A STEP qualification would be advantageous.
