Our client, a leading UK Law Firm headquartered in Scotland is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor to join its Commercial Disputes and Claims Team, specialising in liability claims defence. Based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, this top-ranked team advises insurers, public sector bodies, and self-insured businesses on cases ranging from low-value claims to complex, high-value property damage and personal injury disputes in the Scottish courts, and occasionally in England and Wales.
The role involves managing your own varied caseload of defender personal injury claims—including motor, employer’s liability, public liability, industrial disease, clinical negligence and fatal accidents—as well as supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters.
Core responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality legal advice
- Advocacy in court
- Maintaining client relationships
- Contributing to the team’s business development
The ideal candidate will be at the 2-5 years’ PQE level and should be able to demonstrate experience in liability claims defence, strong case management and drafting skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
