We are delighted to be instructed on this new role with our client, an international law firm. The firm are seeking an experienced private investment funds lawyer to join its growing team. The team advises fund managers on structuring, forming, and investing in funds across various sectors, while also supporting institutional investors with primary and secondary transactions, co-investments, and consortium arrangements.
The successful candidate can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with the benefit of working on a cross-office basis alongside colleagues from the UK and international offices. This role offers exposure to a full spectrum of funds work for City and international clients.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years’ experience in funds transactions, including drafting agreements, advising on carried interest, and reviewing marketing materials. You should be familiar with UK financial regulations, particularly AIFMD, and have experience negotiating with investors, handling side letters, collaborating with offshore law firms, and supporting business development.
