Our client, a well-established, independent Scottish law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join its leading Private Client team in Edinburgh. With offices across Scotland and a dedicated focus on key sectors, the firm offers a comprehensive suite of legal services to a diverse client base.

The Private Client team is central to the firm’s strategy and works with a broad range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, landed estates, rural businesses, trusts, and family-run enterprises. This role offers the opportunity to advise on personal tax, succession planning, trusts, executries, and property-related tax matters.

Candidates should have at least five years’ experience in personal tax planning—particularly in relation to inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax in the context of succession and property. Familiarity with LBTT, SDLT, and VAT is beneficial, though training can be provided.

The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering excellent client service and contributing to business development and internal training. This is a full-time position; however, flexible, or part-time arrangements will be considered.
