This well-established UK law firm is seeking to appoint an experienced Managing Associate or Legal Director to its Tech, IP & Data team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role advising on a broad spectrum of high-value technology projects and digital regulatory matters, including SaaS and cloud-based agreements, emerging technologies (AI and Web3), complex outsourcing, and digital compliance frameworks (such as online safety, data protection, and consumer law).
The role offers exposure to a high-calibre client base across sectors including Financial Services, Digital, Retail & Consumer Goods, Government & Public Services, and Future Energy.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing your own matters with appropriate Partner support
- Supervising junior colleagues
- Contributing to the team’s business development initiatives, such as delivering training and preparing pitches
- Opportunity to work on-site with clients via secondments (virtual or in-person)
Applicants should have a minimum of 6 years’ PQE, with strong experience in technology transactions and digital regulatory compliance. A track record of delivering complex commercial contracts is essential. Prior in-house experience or time spent advising on AI-related risk and governance is desirable, but not required.
