Associate / Senior Associate (Energy) – Edinburgh or Glasgow (Assignment 16252)

We are currently working on this interesting role with our client, an independent Scottish Law Firm with clients both in the UK and internationally. The firm is seeking to recruit an additional Lawyer to join its Energy Team. This position offers flexibility in location, with the post based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

The primary objective of this role is to work closely with the broader energy team, offering corporate support to our clients and helping them navigate a changing legal environment. You can expect to be involved in a variety of areas including M&A, joint ventures, private equity and renewable energy projects.

To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years PQE with strong corporate experience as well as experience within the renewable energy sector. This is a great opportunity to join a leading team within a growing firm.

Corporate Finance – Glasgow or Edinburgh (Assignment 16407)

This well-established and diverse law firm is currently recruiting a Senior Solicitor to join its expanding Corporate Team in either its Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Aberdeen office. The role involves working closely with clients and colleagues in areas including, but not limited to, share incentives, regulation, media and technology, and real estate.

The team welcomes applications from candidates with 2-6 years’ PQE level and strong corporate finance transactional experience. However, candidates with less experience in this area who demonstrate enthusiasm for applying their skills to this dynamic work will also be considered.

Corporate Transactions – Aberdeen / Glasgow (Assignment 16773)

This prestigious and forward-thinking international law firm is seeking two highly skilled Senior Lawyers to join its renowned Corporate Team. Opportunities include an Associate or Senior Associate role in Aberdeen and a Senior Associate position in Glasgow.

These roles present a unique opportunity to engage in high-caliber cross-border work and international transactions spanning a variety of key industry sectors. The positions encompass a broad spectrum of corporate legal services, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity transactions, and comprehensive corporate advisory work.

Ideal candidates will bring a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience, with significant exposure to M&A transactions. Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, coupled with a strong commitment to delivering excellence in client service, are essential for success in these roles.

Part-time In-House Legal Counsel – Glasgow (Assignment 16498)

This well-established company is currently seeking an In-house Legal Counsel to join its growing team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years’ PQE and expertise in handling all aspects of commercial contracts. Responsibilities include :

  • Conducting a broad range of reviews of client contracts, from routine to complex.
  • Supporting departments on projects, from small local issues to multi-million-pound contract negotiations.
  • Providing input and guidance to the company’s risk committee.

Candidates should be familiar with the legal and regulatory obligations relevant to the business and be able to adapt and provide expert advice. In-house experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.

This part-time position offers flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance, requiring 2-3 days in the office each week. Working days can be flexible to suit the successful candidate.

Legal Counsel – Edinburgh / Glasgow (Assignment 16864)

We have been instructed on this new in-house position by our client, a leading financial services organisation. Due to business growth, the Legal Team is currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join them in either of its Glasgow or Edinburgh office.

The ideal candidate will be qualified in either Scotland or England & Wales, will have between 1-3 years’ PQE and demonstrate expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation across various business areas, supporting pension, employer, and financial services clients. Experience within the broader financial services industry and pensions is preferred, while experience within a professional services firm would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Developing an understanding of key business areas, including but not limited to Actuarial, Defined Contribution Consulting, Investment, and emerging areas like Discretionary Fund Management, while assessing their core propositions and risks to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts for a full spectrum of professional services, including consulting, online, and data services.
  • Providing legal support for proposition and client-based projects.
