Our client, an established and highly regarded UK law firm is looking for an Associate to join its Commercial Disputes team on a fixed-term basis (12 months), working from any of its Scottish offices. This interim role will support a key client matter within a nationally recognised disputes practice. The firm is known for its collaborative culture and focus on client-centric solutions. It regularly handles complex, high-value disputes across multiple sectors, including energy, finance, retail, and infrastructure.

The disputes group also offers expertise across specialist areas such as fraud, IP, IT, construction, and regulatory investigations. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced and supportive team of litigation professionals handling a broad range of commercial disputes. While general commercial litigation experience is essential, familiarity with defender personal injury matters will be considered an asset.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, strong legal and drafting skills, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A team-oriented approach and interest in contributing to broader team activities such as training and business development will also be important.
