Overview

Job Title: Night Porter
Hotel du Vin Cheltenham

The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands on role managing the guest expectations and ensuring the standards of the brand are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise.
  • Manage the Food & Beverage Department of the hotel during the night.
  • Welcome guests to the hotel in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Keep public areas immaculate and prepare meeting and event spaces for the next day.
  • Assist guests with their luggage and deal with enquiries.
  • Carry out nightly Health and Safety audits.

Note: The role involves working nights and flexible shifts; experience of night shift work is essential.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role is beneficial and experience of night shift work is essential.
  • Be organised and an excellent communicator.
  • Willingness to work a range of shifts and days; 7 days a week, 365 days a year with flexible patterns discussed at interview.
