Principal / Associate Town Planner – London – Award-Winning Consultancy
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000pa, dependant on grade and experience + excellent benefits
Fraser Recruitment is working with a well-established National Planning Consultancy to appoint a Principal or Associate Town Planner for its London office.
Operating for over 12 years and with multiple offices across the UK, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality town planning advice to both private and public sector clients. Continued growth has created an opportunity for an experienced planner to join their expanding London team.
About The Role
You will support a varied client base across the private and public sectors, working on projects spanning Residential, Strategic Land, Later Living, Regeneration, Retail and Leisure.
The position offers exposure across the full planning lifecycle, with responsibilities including:
- Preparing, submitting and negotiating planning applications
- Acting as the primary client contact on key projects
- Managing instructions through the full development management process
- Preparing fee proposals and overseeing delivery to agreed deadlines
- Producing clear, concise planning reports and professional advice
- Supporting local plan representations, masterplanning and appeal work
This role provides genuine responsibility, autonomy, and long-term progression within a collaborative consultancy environment.
About You
You are likely to have:
- Suitable qualifications and MRTPI status
- Previous consultancy-based planning experience
- Confidence leading projects and managing client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
