The Role
We\’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to help design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure that underpins a modern analytics and decisioning platform. This is a hands‑on engineering role, not a BI or reporting position. You\’ll work on high‑volume data pipelines, distributed processing, and production‑grade systems used by internal teams and end users. You\’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and product teams, contributing to architecture, best practices, and long‑term platform evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines for ingesting and processing large datasets
- Maintain and improve data lake and processing infrastructure
- Develop production‑ready ETL / data processing workflows
- Improve data quality through cleansing, standardization, and validation
- Optimize performance and reliability of data workflows
- Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and best practices
- Work in an Agile environment with iterative delivery
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer in production environments
- Proven background building robust, scalable data pipelines
- Experience working with cloud‑based data platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with distributed data processing (e.g. Spark or similar)
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL, and performance optimization
- Comfortable working with large, complex, real‑world datasets
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Spark/Airflow/Elasticsearch
- Exposure to Scala/Python
- Experience working in product‑led or R&D environments
- Background in analytics platforms, data products, or decision systems
