As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide person-centered care and support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, promoting well-being, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those in your care.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and support to clients in accordance with individual care plans.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
- Administer medication as directed (following appropriate training).
- Carry out light domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or circumstances to the care manager.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols.
