We are seeking a dedicated Service Co‐ordinator to join our team. This is a full‐time role, worked on a rotational basis. As part of the position, you may be required to lead, develop, and co‐ordinate a team of care workers, and you will also take part in the First Line On‐Call rota to support our out‐of‐hours service. This ensures Fraser Home Care continues to deliver the highest standards of respect, dignity, and compassionate care to all clients.
What the Role Involves
- Delivering high‐quality care with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Mentoring and encouraging employees throughout their employment, offering support, advice, and guidance in a constructive and supportive manner.
- Providing on‐call cover as part of the rota.
- Acting as a positive role model to carers at all times.
- Managing and supporting care workers to ensure they can perform their roles safely and effectively during day‐to‐day care delivery.
Communication & Coordination
- Being the first point of contact for carers.
- Managing day‐to‐day client enquiries.
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the senior management team.
- Working in partnership with other professionals to ensure individuals receive the support they need, and recording relevant information for care plan updates.
Operational Responsibilities
- Carrying out duties assigned by senior line managers.
- Attending induction, in‐house training sessions, and staff meetings.
- Supporting senior line managers in line with standards, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Contributing to effective team working by supporting colleagues in a flexible and approachable manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or above)
- Willingness to work towards SVQ Level 3
- Previous experience in a care setting
- Strong organisational and time‐management skills
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and with excellent attention to detail
- Flexibility to meet workload demands
- Commitment to ongoing development and training
- Full driving licence and access to a car insured for business use
Successful applicants will be required to register with the SSSC.
