Fraser Edwards is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Facilities Management contractor for a Fabric Engineer with a plumbing bias. This is a permanent role offering long-term stability within a growing and reputable organisation. Due to continued expansion, our client is strengthening their Planned Works and Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business and play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance services across their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Take delivery of materials, check delivery notes, and hand documentation to the foreman
- Carry out reactive maintenance on all types of fabric equipment on the client’s asset register
- Complete worksheets accurately and submit to Head Office weekly
- Complete planned maintenance works in line with client specifications
- Make recommendations regarding plant condition, including submitting Life Expired reports as necessary
- Assist the Contracts Manager with costings for remedial works
- Order materials for jobs and manage associated paperwork
- Attend training and Health & Safety courses as directed
- Follow company procedures for accident reporting and site H&S guidelines
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer with a plumbing bias
- Experience working within Facilities Management or commercial maintenance environments
- Full UK Driving Licence (Van Provided)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and reporting abilities
- Flexible approach to overtime and callout requirements
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:30
- Participation in callout rota as required
