Fraser Edwards is working in partnership with a well-established property management company to recruit a reliable and experienced Self-Employed Damp & Mould Operatives. This is an ongoing contract role focused on carrying out damp and mould treatment, remediation, and associated repairs across occupied and void social housing and landlord-managed properties.
We’re looking for skilled, self-motivated professionals to join our growing network in London.
MUST HAVE OWN VAN & TOOLS
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out damp and mould inspections, treatments, and remediation works in residential properties
- Identify causes of damp (e.g. condensation, penetrating damp, rising damp) and implement appropriate solutions
- Undertake mould removal, cleaning, and prevention treatments
- Complete associated repair works such as plastering, painting, and minor structural repairs
- Attend scheduled appointments for reactive and planned works
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied homes
Core Skills Required:
- Damp & mould treatment and remediation
- Diagnosing causes of damp and moisture issues
- Plastering and redecoration following treatment
- Basic multi-trade skills (e.g. carpentry, minor plumbing, ventilation improvements)
- Knowledge of ventilation systems and condensation control
Requirements:
- Proven experience in damp and mould treatment within residential properties
- Strong understanding of social housing or private rented sector environments
- UK Driving Licence
- Own Van and Full Set of Tools
- Ability to work in both occupied and void properties
- Good communication and customer service skills
- UTR number required (CIS payment)
