Salary: £45,000 per year Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: Hertfordshire Benefits: Company Van & Fuel Card About the Role Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting a Working Supervisor / Foreman for a permanent role covering the Hertfordshire area. Our client is a well-established building contractor and, due to continued growth, is expanding its team. They undertake projects across multiple sectors of construction, with a particular focus on listed buildings and heritage works. The business has continued to flourish in recent years, making this an excellent opportunity to join a company with a strong pipeline of work and long-term career prospects. Key Responsibilities * Supervise site operatives and subcontractors to ensure contract objectives are met. * Plan, organise, and monitor daily and weekly site activities. * Oversee works on site, ensuring they are completed to specification and programme requirements. * Work from drawings to coordinate and manage site operations. * Take ownership of company, client, and contract processes. * Support the Contracts Manager and Surveyor in the day-to-day running of projects. Health & Safety * Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of staff, subcontractors, and third parties. * Conduct regular toolbox talks and maintain site compliance. * Promote safe working practices across all projects. Candidate Requirements * Proven experience within construction site supervision. * Carpentry or groundworks background beneficial but not essential. * Experience working on commercial, residential, and/or listed building projects preferred. * Good understanding of construction drawings and site coordination. * Full UK Driving Licence (company van provided).
