Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting an experienced Carpenter for a temporary contract on behalf of our client. Our client is a well-established organisation delivering repairs and maintenance services across social housing properties. Due to increased workload, they are looking to strengthen their Asset Management team with a skilled Carpenter who can deliver high-quality repair and maintenance work while providing excellent customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy maintenance team working across occupied domestic properties. The Role * Carry out a variety of carpentry repairs and maintenance works within social housing properties. * Complete first and second fix carpentry, repairs, installations and general maintenance tasks. * Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting quality and safety requirements. * Record completed work and materials used using handheld technology or job management systems. * Liaise professionally with tenants, supervisors and office staff regarding scheduled works. * Safely operate power tools, equipment and company vehicles where required. * Support other trades where necessary to ensure works are completed within agreed timescales. * Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment. Essential Requirements * Proven experience working as a Carpenter within repairs and maintenance. * Full UK Driving Licence. * Own professional trade tools. * Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. * Good communication and customer service skills. Desirable * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry. * Previous experience working within Social Housing * Experience using PDA or handheld job management systems.
