Fraser Edwards is currently recruiting for a Plumber Multi Operative on behalf of a leading Social Housing Contractor for a contract role covering Bristol, Chippenham, Swindon and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plumber/Multi Trade Operative to join a growing repairs and maintenance team working across occupied social housing properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing and multi-trade repairs while maintaining excellent customer service standards with residents and clients. The role requires someone who can work independently, manage workloads effectively and carry out repairs safely and efficiently within agreed timescales. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving social housing properties, helping ensure residents live in safe and well-maintained homes.

The Role:

  • Plumbing Repairs: Carrying out day-to-day plumbing maintenance and repair works.
  • Basic Carpentry Repairs: Completing minor carpentry and multi-trade tasks where required.
  • Responsive Maintenance: Delivering repairs within occupied social housing properties.
  • Recording Works via PDA: Updating job progress and completion details electronically.
  • Material Management: Ordering and collecting materials required for works.
  • Customer Service: Providing a professional and courteous service to residents and clients.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Working in line with company H&S procedures and safeguarding policies.
  • Working to Deadlines: Completing works efficiently within allocated timescales.

Candidate Requirements:

  • NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing or Carpentry desirable
  • Qualified by experience will also be considered
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential
  • Previous Social Housing experience desirable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
