Operating in the United Kingdom, they are committed to delivering high quality active ingredient solutions that support healthcare partners worldwide. Our client is seeking a commercially driven leader to grow regional sales, strengthen customer partnerships, and expand market presence across UK & Ireland territories.
Your objectives: As the Sales Manager, you will be measured against the following objectives:
- Deliver revenue and margin growth across the assigned regional portfolio while achieving agreed sales targets.
- Expand market share by identifying new opportunities and converting prospects into long term customer partnerships.
- Implement a clear regional sales strategy and multi year commercial plan aligned with broader organisational goals.
What you will do: As the Sales Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Drive sales performance across the assigned territory, ensuring delivery of revenue, budget and margin targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical and healthcare customers to deliver a high quality commercial experience.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead prospecting activities to expand the regional customer base.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing agreements and contracts with customers.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams including Supply, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs (QA/RA), Finance and Customer Services.
- Monitor sales performance, forecasts and purchase orders while reporting progress through defined tools and processes.
- Gather and analyse market intelligence including competitor activity, pricing trends and customer demand.
What you will bring: These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Sales Manager:
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical or life science sales, ideally involving active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) or contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) services.
- Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth, managing sales pipelines and achieving commercial targets.
- Experience managing complex customer relationships and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Strong business development capability with the ability to identify and convert new opportunities.
- Ability to work cross functionally with teams including supply chain, quality and regulatory.
- Bachelor degree in a scientific, pharmaceutical, or business related discipline.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulated pharmaceutical environments is desirable.
