This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Accounts Assistant/Legal Cashier seeking a new challenge, or for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant wishing to move into the legal practice. In-house training will be provided. The position involves ensuring the firm’s financial transactions are processed accurately and in full compliance with regulatory requirements, while maintaining the integrity of our client and office accounts. This role is based in Wisbech and/or King’s Lynn, and we will consider both full-time and part-time applications.
As part of this role, you will:
- Process client receipts, payments, and preparing online electronic bank payments, i.e. CHAPS and Faster Payment
- Check completion statements and invoices
- Ensure accurate financial records and ledgers are maintained in accordance with SAR rules
- Respond to accounts queries ensuring timely and accurate responses are delivered
Previous experience of electronic banking systems and knowledge of all Microsoft products is required. Experience in a legal cashier or accounts role is essential. Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads during busy periods is necessary. An ability to work using own initiative within boundaries is also important.
