Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Scheduler to join the team in a full-time capacity. This role is responsible for the translation of client engineering drawings and plans into reinforcing bar schedules for the production and dispatch of reinforcement to client sites. Reporting to the Scheduling Manager, this role is responsible for projects with multiple work facets. You will be responsible for optimising time management, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, and facilitating effective communication among various stakeholders. Your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise tasks will be critical in this role. This position is based at Currumbin.

What will you be doing?

  • Conduct Pre-starts on plant, equipment and machinery before use.
  • Ensure all safety procedures and protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Produce manufactured goods in accordance with specifications.
  • Pick and pack sales orders and internal stock transfer requests in accordance with order requirements, company procedures and nominated work plan.
  • Apply strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Safely load and unload vehicles within Safe Loading Guidelines and Chain of Responsibility legislation.
  • Check and receipt inwards goods in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process stock returns including completion of relevant documentation.
  • Operate machinery, plant, and equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with company procedures.

About the Candidate

  • Hold required & current government licence/s for any vehicles.
  • Current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift.
  • Previous distribution/warehousing experience (advantageous).
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely load, lift and handle materials.
  • Previous experience in the steel industry (advantageous).
